Brick Walls in Bromley — London Borough of Bromley

We build and repair garden walls, boundary walls, retaining walls and gate piers throughout the Bromley borough. Front boundary walls are the most common request here, usually alongside a new driveway.
When a driveway goes in, the front wall usually needs cutting and the piers rebuilding. Doing both together means the brick, the coping and the paving border are chosen as one scheme.
A wall is only as good as what is under it. On shallow front gardens with services running through, we locate the services and design the footing around them rather than trenching blind.
A coping that throws water clear and a DPC at the base are what keep a free-standing wall dry. They are invisible once built, and they are the two details most often skipped.
Full detail on materials and build-up is on our brick walls page, and more about the area on our Bromley page.
Permitted development normally allows up to one metre where the wall adjoins a road used by vehicles, and up to two metres elsewhere. Conservation areas and listed properties are stricter. Check with Bromley Council before building higher.
